I haven't played it yet, but a few friends have and they really like it. I've been warned it's buggy as hell and crashes quite often. I'm going to wait for a patch before I play it.

i do play it atm and i have to say that there wasn't any bug i have encountered yet. as for the game: its _very_ much like part 1. some minor improvements in the underlying game rules but story seems to be a bit less original. apart from that it's a fun to play game...

Maybe it's radeon card problems again, my one friend has a 9700 pro and has experienced numerous crashes to desktop... wasn't the first game also buggy towards ati?

9500 pro = my card...hmm
from what I've heard from my coworkers that it's amazing... they talk about it all day.
Thinking about trying it myself.

This is my current addiction :)
Really enjoying it. Has crashed twice so far after about 9 hours of play all up, so not 100%stable but livable

My addiction too, it's a lot like Kotor 1 with a few extras added and I like it a lot. had some friends complain about crashes as well but so far I havent had any problems apart from a few graphics glitches and occasionally the text changes a bit to fast in conversations.
Definitely worth playing if you liked the first one.

I bought it in December and played it for about an hour and a half. I just haven't been in the mood to spend a bunch of time on any game, let alone an RPG. I hear once you get off the mining level it picks up, but I remember being kinda bored at the beginning.

My son has completed the game and he didn't encounter any bugs.

I've clocked it as Ultra Good, crashed about 5 times in total, and there are a few bugs where you cannot get all characters to open up to you (every humaniod character can become a Jedi).
I'm now doing the game again in Ultra Evil, it's damned funny being a female, she keeps saying "Hey buddy, my face is up here" :D

well, it's good, but nothing compared to the first. In a bid to get it out for the holiday rush, the devs were forced to leave out big chunks of the story arc for the last third of the game, so ends VERY flat and unsatisfying... not to mention the bugs, crashes, etc.

That's the understatement of the century. I felt cheated and confused when I finished the game. At first I thought that maybe I skipped a bunch of things and somehow finished the game incorrectly, but no. Many things just aren't resolved. I doubt Bioware would have left it that incomplete.
But it is a good game just don't allow yourselve to get drawn into the plot. :)

SPOILER!!! DON'T READ THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE FINISHED THE GAME!!!
I don't see where the confusing part is, the whole game teaches "Balance in the Force", you see this at the end when you find out who Kreia really is (hint: the love interest in part 1).
For some reason there is a bug where if you go to the planets in the wrong order, the Holocron in Revans / Bastila's room is destroyed by the blast from the door, otherwise it says (like on my first game) that she felt betrayed by Revan doing what he must, which you find at the end was him leaving the Galaxy because he had gained so much power that he was hurting the ones he loved because they were being hurt physically to get to him, so he left to destroy the True Sith in their empire (Malacore V was one of the True Sith planets on the outer edge of their huge empire).
So Treya decided to destroy the Force in the hope that losing a loved one like she did would not happen again to anyone else, but didn't realise without the Force, all life would die like on the planet that Visas comes from.
What is doesn't explain is the fact you should be as old as Kreia, but are not, and who Darth Nihilis and Darth Sion are (I never did find out who they were originally, but I have to assume they are two of the original Jedi that fought in both wars).

I've completed the game as lightsider without any crashes and I must admit I was a little dissapointed about the ending, seems like something is missing, but it's definitely still worth playing.
Now I've started going through it again as a darksider and so far it's crashed on me a couple of times so maybe it all depends what side you choose, maybe the darkside version wasn't as well coded as the lightside or something.

The path of the darkside filled with many pitfalls it is.

i just beat it on darkside... ending sucked ass!!
the story gets built up pretty well.. then there's it's half-arsed ending, which resolves next-to-nothing
EDIT: there's some extra dialogue and sound files that people have found in game folders and put together in this thread (http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=29764&st=18) and here (http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=29764&st=120)which show just how good the ending could've been.

for anyone playing this game
it was only 60% complete when they were told to get it ready for shelves.
so a lot was cut from it, ati problems galore if you dont update your drivers.
it's a great game, but obviously wasnt ready to be released when it was.
