I'd have to say I like comic book movies. X-Men, Blade (I and II), Superman, Men in Black (I and II), and especially the best of them all, SPIDER-MAN! Booya.
Movies that make you think are also great. Fight Club, Sixth Sense, Mulholland Dr, and I hear Donnie Darko is good too. Haven't seen it yet though.
Kung fu movies rule as well. Stormriders, Once Upon a Time in China, Iron Monkey, Crouching Tiger...
Shaolin Soccer also freaking RoX!

Three words: "The Shawshank Redemption". Now that's an awesome movie. If you don't have tears in your eyes by the end of the film, you're not human ;)

Yeah. I liked Gosford Park. Alot, reminded me of the Agatha Christie novels, I also thought it was also extremely funny. A superb who dunnit.
I don't know if it's available but people say that Metropolis is really good too. Haven't seen it myself, so I can't vouch for that.

Office Space - a real classic, I liked it a lot!
If you're looking for more good movies, try the Internet movie database - in most cases you can really depend on the ratings given; more than 1000 differnet ppl can't go wrong imho.
Go here (http://us.imdb.com/Top/) and scroll down a bit to the 'Top-Rated Movies' section and select your genre. There you'll find lots of great movies!

Actually, the Hackers 2 movie you mentioned is actually call just "Takedown" or "Cybertr@que" if your french. It was never released in theaters because Kevin Mitnick sued the makers for deflammation of charecter or something like that.
I would sudgest Resident Evil, I just saw that on divx and I thought it was one of the coolest movies I have ever saw. You also might want to try American Beauty.

see the fights that impressed the matrix producers so much so that they let the fight choreographer of it do the fights in matrix.
