Sigs

Well, this being a message board, there are no shortage of totally wicked looking sigs around. What my question is, is how do you guys make them? I've tried tootling around in Photoshop, but I can't seem to make anything that looks good. Now I know just about anybody can make something that isn't eye-bleedingly ugly, cuz a co-worker I knew just fiddled around for a while and turned out these decent looking Final Fantasy DVD cases. So is there something I'm missing? Maybe a tutorial somewhere? Any help would be appreciated. :)

Art, in all forms, comes from the soul and is the greatest expression of oneself. There are no self help books on the subject, no internet tutorials. There is no miracle tonic to take to give you a creative edge over your peers...you see life (which is art) through your own eyes...express them in that way...

Art is in the eye of the beholder....


A painting from my nephew is on my wall - and has been for a couple of years, beside it I have a painting that cost me just over a thousand dollars.

My favorite?

My nephew's :) He put his uncle and aunty in the picture.

:) You don't have to be a good artist to identify yourself... Everyone is going to see whatever you do - and know - that it came from you.

Its too bad my art comes in the form of words. And not hand created visual art.

There can be no tutorials on how to create good looking art, because as everyone else has mentioned, it comes from within.

However, you can get tutorials that show you how to accomplish specific effects in your program of choice that can bring your art to life.

I don't know any sites for Photoshop tutorials, but some good ones for Paint Shop Pro can be found at hxxp://www.pinoy7.com

you can just take pics and paste em together, then adjust them a little and voila you've got your sig.. well thats the way i got mine....
