View Full Version : Wanna see some doom iii gameplay footage?
then get this movie (ftp://ftp.freenet.de/pub/4players/badct/misc/stuff/doomIII_gameplay.avi) - only a low quality screener, i'm afraid, but very impressive nevertheless.

Not really...
Oh, you meant you HAVE some doom III gameplay footage.
The game looks impressive I must admit, but my guess is it won't be out for at least a couple years. And by then every game will look like this.

looking good
Early - mid 2003 is what I heard. And save up for a new Nvidia NV30 card to take advantage of everything thats in it. Think of GeForce4 x 2 in terms of power. I think Carmack and Doom3 is actually helping with development of NV30. NV30 due late this year. Probably just in time for Xmas!!
cheers

errr only 1 hour and 18 mins left on my cable connection. Oh well, either way Doom3 is going to be sweet. Cant wait to see all the other games which also use id's engine.
I agree with elmalloc, I hope its a good mix of both.

Amazing. The graphics look almost prerendered, and I love jumpy/creepy games.
Might have to complete doom 2 again to get in the mood:)
Strange you should mention Doom 2 to get you in the mood again. I just started playing it again. Great ga,eplay, but oh my how in-game graphics have moved along since then. Pity there isn't a way to suck Doom 2 into a new engine and spruce it up.
cheers

Kook. Funny you should mention that:)
get gl doom. Works a treat, and you can play accelerated doom , with nice smooth textures at 640x480. Looks a lot better.
This shortcut will work. It works with doom, doom2 and doom final

Here's another movie with interviews of the lead ID programmers and designers, that features some very impressive High-Res footage. Just a friendly warning to all you 56k'ers though: It's a 113 meg download, but very worth it.
