well.. Longest Journey 2 hasn't been confirmed or anything.. but the guy did write it as a trilogy.. the sequel is quite possible but the prequel probably won't happen

Is there really a sequel or TWO coming out... Great... I just loved the original Longest Journey... A REALLY great game... BTW. How about new Monkey Islands? Any news about this?

Whatever you do dont look for missing on lost island cause its really really bad .. even for an old time game .... theres no acting whatsoever in that game, they read everything like robots.

I dont think there'll be another MI until after all the old time sequels are out , starting with full throttle 2 .. the probably moving on to sam'n'max 2 (rumored) and then grim fandango 2 (whishful thinking :))

And as for TLJ .. i have no idea how the game is since it was so big (4 cd's) i wasnt able to get it, and i sure as *beep* didnt want to buy the stupid localised copy sold in the stores here.

I liked syberia but it ended kind of abruptly and was a bit strange at times.

Man.. u need to get TLJ, buy it.. it's pretty cheap now.. It is like the best point-n-click adventure game in recent years. Get this, the characters actually sware.. ahh.. a nice touch of reality.

I know i know .. i want it so much ... but i cant buy anything other than the STUPID localised version here ... (where the characters talk swedish) and i cant stand that ....

too bad noone wants to share old 4cd games anymore :)

Never heard of TLJ, but might give it a try, Morrowmind was ok I supose, but what about Bad Milk? that rox...

But Doc Spock.. TLJ is like originally Norwegian or something.. so I'd think the Swedish version would be truer to the original than the english version...

I know, but its just that ive tried the swedish one and the acting is awful .. well the acting is ok actually but their lines and translations sucks.
Even though April (the main char) is played by a famous swedish actor she cant really fit the role .... i mean she's like 30+ while april is supposed to be like 16-19 (if i remember correctly) ..

i think id rather play the norwegian verion :)

Sam'n'Max 2 is no longer rumoured, it's confirmed. Adventure games seem to be the forgotten genre these daysn - even the good ones like TLJ get ignored by a lot of the gaming media so players don't know they exist. The focus tends to be on games that develop new technology in some way (eg graphics engines in FPS).

Runaway looks very promising http://www.pendulostudios.com/runaway/indexenglish.htm It received very good reviews in spain and is now being ported to a few more languages. I heard some rumors about TLJ 2 in combination with it's american re-release which is scheduled for the end of the year. Wishfull thinking perhaps, but it would be really great to see a sequel.

I always thought Morrowind was a first person RPG?

I'd hardly call that a graphic adventure.

Agreed, Morrowind is an RPG. I guess both RPGs and adventure games tend to involve a lot of puzzles and interaction with other characters. The difference is that in RPGs you get to develop your character and the emphasis is on letting you make your own choices. In adventure games there's one right solution and you have to use your own brain to figure it out.

The last game I've purchased with full money was TLJ and it is still my best game ever.
The dialogs are superb .
