Twisted metal , rogue trip, v8 - all console games, and all super duper fun. Where are the "drive round and blow up the other cars" games for pc? Ok, ive got pc port of TM2, but its coded to only run in hardware on a POWER VR!! (pvr to ogl wrapper anyone?)
I dont like the interstate games - not cheesy enough.
Can anybody explain the lack of car combat games for pc, or suggest any?
Does anybody know if the n64 version of v8 works properly on any emus?

you might want to try out the carmageddon series. both nemu64 and 1964 play vigilante 8.

Carma1 is one of the top 5 games ever , but none of the games suggested so far are from the same genre as TM/rogue trip/v8.
Think its the emulation path i should be following...

The Emulation path is the way to go... there's just nothing out there for the PC.

Try quarantine or road warrior (sequel to quarantine).
Really old games though, you'll probably be disappointed by the graphics.

GTA, carmagedon -> 2 great games and it's a total destruction !!! :)
