Has ne1 heard about this? A friend of mine told me yesterday, that the PS2 is about to launch a network hookup peripheral, along wiht an optional 8 gig hardrive in which whole new games, and updates could be stored and transfered to. It's supposed to hit stores this fall, and the network adapter should cost around $40.
the ps2 network launches next week (the register reported about it here (http://www.theregus.com/content/54/26000.html)) - it will not be until 2003 that you can buy the harddisk (which is rumoured to have a capacity of 40gb as opposed to the 8gb of the xbox) in the states, however.

yup heard about it, it'll be good as long as game companies dont charge subscriptions to play online.

haha..if it start in 2003 in USA then...it prabably release here in NZ about what 2004..2005 if we lucky!
we are so so far behind here :(
