Does anyone know what engine UT2003 is using ???

Really. Thats what its called. Very pretty it is too.

I think the america soldier game( or what ever its called) uses it, and the up and coming hitman 2.

Hitman 2 is using Io interactive's own engine called Glacier. The UT engine you will see in UT2003 and UT2 is an evolution of the original one. UT worked on engine build ~400; right now Epic reached ~900, and it's just getting prettier and prettier ;)

I would have just pissed myself laughing if UT2003 used someone elses engine, sorta would have been a waste of thier developers time :cool:

Its not called the Unreal 2 engine, its called Unreal Warfare. U2 and UT2003 are based on it - which is an ever-evolving version of the original Unreal/UT engines.

Hitman 2 does indeed use the Glacier engine, written by IOI (the people behind Hitman 2) although the Glacier engine in Hitman 2 is far more advanced and superior to the one from Hitman 1.

LithTech just sucks cock :)

yes, Unreal Warfare is the name they're using for the engine

on a side note..

Why do I keep seeing Unreal Warfare mentioned as a game.. it's simply the name of the engine at this point.. there may be a game at sometime in the future, but Epic hasn't said anything that would suggest Unreal Warfare is anything but the engine as least as far as I know

there is a game that is kinda off in the distance that will be called unreal warfare but there is pretty much 0 information about it as of yet. Noted though there are 3 unreal games coming out within 1 year.

unreal 2
and unreal championship (for xbox)
damn i thought i was lucky to get one quake game every 2 years.
Epic is doing a great job at keeping my mouse on the works to bad it seemed to die a few days ago. Now i have to slap it before it turns on (microsoft intellieye mouse v. 1.0)
