Does anyone know when the next simcity will be out?
i'v seen a few screens around the place and it looks awesome!

The graphics sure look great, but what about the game mechanics? There doesnt seem like much Maxis can introduce that wasnt in SimCity 3000. Hopefully they'll prove me wrong though.

Hopefully they will be able to include the micro processing of individual business like they had wanted in 3. It would be cool to see an almost natural economy grow from vilage to town to city to metropolis. It will be a definate dl when it shows up. :-) :cool:

Simcity4 is going to be one amazing game, i cant wait to see the new features they put in it, not to mention the graphics, they are looking really nice, will have to get it for sure

I've seen pictures in magazines and wow it looks amazing, can't wait to try the online mode!

It looks really good, but I wouldn't expect it this holiday season. Maxis has a track record of postponing releases to fine tune things. In the long run it only betters the product so I can wait.
There is supposed to be a lot of micromanagement almost to the point of a "Sims" level, we will have to wait and see.

i hope they put a 2D view in this one...3d is all fine and good, and the detail looks awesome, but for gameplay the 2d traditional simcity view flows much smoother for me.

Am I the only one who cannot stand the "Windows XP" style interface in the later Sim games? Sim City 3000, Sim Golf, The Sims etc. all have a "kiddie" style interface and I can't bloody stand it!

I much prefer the Sim City 2000 interface, where it was on a nice grey toolbar that actually had everything you needed on it without needing to click too much!

With a bit of luck, they'll include an option to use an interface like 2000's in Sim City 4, but somehow I doubt it :)
