Well.... today I played with an x-box for the first time... (yip we are way behind down here, they dont come out until october 3rd)
anyway.... I was quite impressed... they have Dead or Alive 3 there to play... Its pretty kewl, good gfx and sound etc etc... game play was good. Over all I must say I like the xbox.
however... the controllers are just plain weird... maybe I just need to use them more... I dunno they are funny little things. (although I dont use consoles much.. maybe thats why)
I do like the ones from the gamecube tho.... they just feel right... same with the dreamcast ones.... they are good too!!!

wow.. just now?.. the Xbox has been out around here for so long that I've even thought about shelling out for one..
but yeah.. the controller sux0r.. it'll destroy your hand over time.. the analog stick is pretty good.. but the blasted thing is just too freakin big.. luckily they've released a new smaller official controller.
but really the Xbox is bloody huge.. I can't believe they made a console that big...

I really dont know why it has taken sooooooo long to get here (new zealand) because it came out in march in aussie... and we would be getting the exact same machines as them.... same ps, video mode (pal) etc etc...
but it will be good because as soon as they come out here they will cost the same or less that a ps2 ( currently about $500 NZ or about $220 US ) but with a trade in of some old ps or n64 games you get $100 off... so it will be 399 or bout 180 US

Umm Tornado are you sure you wanna trade in your old games??? to get 100 bucks off you gottta trade in 6 or 8 games I'm not sure but I rather sell those somewhere else then go buy the Xbox
And the reason that the Xbox release is sooo delay in NZ may b because they are wating for the price to drop down a bit also wait for Xbox games to release, u know ppl here want to buy a ferrary at the price of toyota. :p

well I dont have a playstation anyways... umm anyway... people payed $1000 for the ps2 when it first came out.... so I done think thats the reason

the contollers are very very big, and i have huge hands...
if you decide to get one, pick up a controller-S -- the smaller version... even easier to use, feels kinda like a better Dreamcast controller.

yes I too have found the controller a bit awkward.. and I hear better things about the gamecube controller, perhaps because it caters to a younger market.. still I'd love to own one
