IRC illiterate

ok, I'm an irc moron of sorts, too many little tricks etc... but here's a question, when I request a dcc file and want it sent to me I select send without asking so if I'm not there then I dont have to ok it...however when I'm being dcc'd I always get that annoying pop up window saying... file virus blah blah... how do i set auto accept so i can walk away and not have to ok anything... thanks gang

erm I think there's a checkbox saying "don't show me this message again"

Look at the file types you are allowing to accept. Iam sure that it is this that causes that popup. Plus look and set your dcc to auto get :cool:

I'm gonna assume you're using mIRC.

Go to File... Options... DCC.. and choose "Auto-get file"

If the file is of a type thats disallowed nothing will show on your screen, not even a warning box it will just auto refuse it without asking you, but just incase and for future can check that anyway.
1. Go to DCC on the main menu bar
2. Select Options
3. In the DCC options that pop-up select Folders
4. Where it says DCC ignore select disabled in the drop down box and remove the tick from the tick box saying Turn ignore back on in.......
Thats DCC ignore file types sorted. The next thing you need to do to set up auto receive is:
1. Click on the DCC option itself rather than a sub category.
2. Where it says On send request select Auto get file, and fill the tick box for minimize.
I'm not sure but I think the virus warning box still may pop up though, and the only way to get rid og it is when it pops up fill the tick box for dont show this warning again and it will never pop-up again :D
