Didn't like it... The gameplay itself is fine, very much like MOHAA. Except the sounds in general and character animations seem poorly done.

Either the demo wasn't very good, or I'm getting sick of WW2 shooters.

ww2 shooters seem to be very popular of late
but in my opinion, thats a good thing because they are constantly being improved upon
this demo is great and i cant wait for the full version to be released!

Same here. I loved it. My only complaint? Not long enough. :D I'll definitely be playing this one when it comes out.

Hehe, and you can write your name on the walls with the MG-42. :D

cheers

Sound and character animations bad???? I thought they were a lot better than most games i've seen lately. I actually loved the sound, and the animations surprised me. AI seems incredible too. Anyways... I'll be waiting for this one.

The demo is awsome! I don't care about scripted events like MoH. The gameplay is golden! This one is coming onboard my 'puter when it's out!

i agree with stu-the animations are alot better than most out there right now... the characters are always realistically taking cover, grabbing the helmets, and signalling other squad mates etc
and the sound! well the sound is so damn immersive!! ive always believed that strong sound effects can make or break a game.. and im gonna stick by that!
wicked demo!

it's good, but too short, can't wait for more... MP demo perhaps?

I've been playing it some more and still think some of the animations need some work, the soldiers running while crouched in particular doesn't look very natural...

I got a sound replacement pack that replaces most of the weapon sounds with the weapon sounds from MOHAA, which improves them by quite a margin. Though I can't wait for someone to get the weapon sounds from Vietcong and put them in a pak for use here, those were some of the best weapon sounds I've ever heard. :)

I'll wait for the reviews on Call of Duty before buying it, I'm more interested in the multiplayer aspect than the single player.

I loved the demo. I know how hard it is to make some good and natural looking animations without having ugly deformations and texture wrappings. I always have an eye on the development of graphics in games, especially on the models, textures and animations and i think Call of Duty has some reallly nice Animations. The NPCs are acting pretty natural, taking cover, hiding if someone is shooting at them. It seems like they have the same nice collision detection for their models as MOHAA had.

Overall: Atmosphere, Graphics, Bigger interacting troops, nice levels and the ability to play 4 connected campaigns make it a bit better than MOHAA (MY OPINION) and believe me, i LOVED MOHAA :).
