Only a few. I try to keep it small as there is no way I can devote my time to 20 boards. I try to be select in the places I belong to. There is no point being a member somewhere if you cant make the time to put in 100% to the community there.

Ok where to begin. When Kinetik when down I waited and waited as did many others. Then I went out and tried to find a new home. Without success I joined board after board to find out that almost all of them were about warez and leeching. So one day I decided to check my bookmarks and bam, its back. The endless search can stop now. :D

my other favourite place (not warez-related or warez-scene-related) is called ricetek forums... its very small and most of the people on it live in brisbane... the computer network admin guy who works at my school introduced me to it... they're all into cars and computers and thats about all they ever talk about. not as interesting as the k but its kewl because i know a lot of them personally.

On a private torrent site I easily get 1.5mbit on biggish stuff (used to only get 150k from Swedish 100mbit sites 'cos of bad routing) without any hassles searching for stuff and it's all there pretty quickly.

Never tried Usenet to be fair, but torrent makes it so easy I can't see how it could beat it.
