I recently got myself a copy of Nero 6 and since trying it out have been, all in all, tremendously let down...

It seems to be a resource-monster... whilst burning CD's my PC sometimes slows down to the point of having to leave it alone until the burning is done...

When queuing (sp?) mp3s for burning, it completely re-invents their order for some unbeknown reason...

The main improvements seem to be confined eye-candy and newbie-helping re-organisations... not to be dissed (esp. the second part), but didn't quite live up to my expectations...

I have had no probs at all with it, I like it alot and I am running only an amd 800 , and am still able to do multiple other things while burning

I use it to burn both cd's and dvd...and find it to be no probs at all...I have a pretty good machine, so, I can surf or do whatever while burning without any errors

The CD Cover designer wont acquire from TWAIN (Scanner).
Nero are releasing a patch December.

Apart from that, I like it..
.. but I dont run the Nero StartSmart or leave it in the System Tray !

For copying disks, or emulating SecureROM or SafeDisk protection, there is nothing better than Alcohol 120%...

IMHO :-)

I'm using the BurningRom app only from it, but it works great. I've heard that some previous builds of Nero6 have serious bugs though.

I was using several Nero versions, including 6.0.0.19 last week, and the CD's were failing all the time, I ended up uninstalling and putting on the orginal v5.5 that came with it :(

Seems to work ok for me. The only thing I don't like is you can't continue a multi-session on 5.9 after you have started a cd with 6.:(

Yes, turned out to be my IDE Controller expansion card as it was doing the same with Nero 5.5. No biggie, just running it straight through my motherboard now.

I have 3 HDD's if you're wondering. Two 80's and a 120GB.
