We have a group of friends with very different machines, ranging P4 to Pentium 120. We can play in a local lan. What FPS do you suggest to play, with a decent performance?
Thanks

Half life I guess . That p 120 is the hard one to get so it isn't lagging or stuttering. Having a serv only box would helps some I guess. Maybe the original Doom if it does multiplay. Battlezone 1 would play alright too

that 120 is going to limit you to things like q1, doom etc
A minimum (i would want 350+) with some sort of 3d card (say 16mb tnt2) will run hl engine stuff (i dont know about cs, the new versions have made it run much slower)
350 will let you play q3 (need same or more vid card) and you can get a lot of good mods for that.
This will also let you run serious sam 1 +2 which look and play good (also have a coop mode)
Theyre the main ones i can think of but some old school action is always fun, me and my friends play q1 every now and again :P

for FPS's... you'll have to go old school... Doom/Q1... i'll keep an eye out...
also, it's not an FPS, but check out Total Annihalation... it's fun to ally with 2 people and nuke the shit out of the 4th person... -- lets you build up a better attack to go attack your allies and win while they concentrate on the lonely guy :D

Yep, you won't get far with that P120. You should really think about a way to circumvent (?) using that machine so you have nothing slower than a PII with TNT / Voodoo2 based card.

Use the P120 as a dedicated game server
